Intermediate Good Manners/Service Dog 1:

Prerequisites: Basic Good Manners/Service Dog Foundations class & attending one monthly Service Dog Orientation.

This class is for you whether you want to pursue more advanced manners training or are on the path to training your service dog. We’ll cover basic service dog training techniques like shaping, targeting and behavior chaining to train various behaviors as well as building your dog’s impulse control and thinking skills. Intermediate Good Manners/Service Dog 1 class includes foundation cues like Pull, Heel, Stay and more!

Graduation from Intermediate Good Manners/Service Dog 1 earns your dog an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen title. AKC CGC is a certification program that promotes responsible dog ownership and rewards dogs for good manners at home and in the community. CGC is the foundation of therapy or service dog work, competitive dog sports, tracking and performance events.

6-week class. Each class is 60 minutes. 6 dog limit per class. Instructor: Jill Freifeld
