A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 reserves a space in this Academy.
Your academy tuition is 50% refundable (minus the non-refundable deposit) if you cancel 60 days or more prior to academy start date, 25% (minus the non-refundable deposit) if you cancel 45+ days prior, non-refundable if you cancel less than 45 days out.

This 6-day intensive learning opportunity is designed to help you achieve your career goals as an animal care professional or committed hobbyist.
We limit enrollment so we can be sure to provide you with an individualized, quality program.
The pre-requisite for this academy is successful completion of our Basic Canine Training and Behavior Academy – or its equivalent.
Multi-Species Academy – A 6-day academy in which students will apply to other species the scientific principles of behavior that they have learned working with dogs. Students may bring their own “other species” (with advance approval from PPaws) or we will provide. Assignments will include the teaching of operant behaviors as well as husbandry procedures appropriate for the individual animal, and may include shaping, behavior chains and more.
Students will work with one non-canine species for the week – determine appropriate reinforcers, teach a marker signal and develop a training project for the week for that animal. Students will work with a different partner each day so they will also get to experience a variety of other species in addition to the one they are working with.
Interns are responsible for their own travel, meals, and lodging. There are nearby hotels and there are also campgrounds and RV parks nearby if you prefer.
