Our service dog information session is free and open to the public!

This orientation is for people only.  No dogs, please.

Service dogs are increasingly present in today’s society. Join us for a free information session to learn all about service dogs. We’ll discuss what a service dog is (and is not), legal definitions, public access requirements, types of service dogs, the difference between service, therapy, and emotional support animals, what makes a good service dog and more!

This free informational session also serves as Peaceable Paws’ new service dog training program orientation for our Intermediate Good Manners/Service Dog 1 class. Getting a service dog usually involves year-long waiting lists or prohibitively expensive training. Our progressive program will guide you through the process of training your own service dog from socialization and basic good manners cues to individualized task training and public access skills.

You do not have to register to attend, but if you plan on coming we’d love it if you’d tell us a bit about yourself and your dog.  This will also help us prepare for the Orientation.
